EBi Law

Positions

A strategist's practice, built deliberately.

EBi Law is a South African legal practice led by its director, Eugene Botha. It is built as a strategist's practice rather than a volume firm.

The work sits where law, structure and consequence meet: empowerment and corporate structuring for founder-led and family businesses; governance design for regulated operators; commercial transactions; and the protection of reputations and licences when they come under pressure. The firm advises at the most senior levels of South African politics and public governance, and brings that vantage point to commercial work: an understanding of how regulators, public entities and political actors actually read a structure, a sponsorship, a licence application or a crisis.

The approach is consistent. Facts first, stated plainly, separated from assumption. Strategy before drafting: every substantive document answers what should be done, not merely what the law says. Transparent scoping: the boundaries of an engagement are settled in writing before it begins. And one accountable view, where a position involves product rules, licensing, ownership and reputation at once, held as one file rather than four referrals.

Client identities are not used in marketing. References are available where clients have consented in writing.
